The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) in Nigeria has initiated a 5-day training program aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of 20 staff members from its Headquarters and Institutes in designing and operating Biogas and Biomethanol plants. The training, held in Abuja, is in collaboration with SRH Berlin, Germany, a renowned organization in the design and development of commercial-scale renewable energy plants. Additionally, two online courses focusing on medium-scale plant design are being offered. The training covers various aspects of the design process, including CAD/CAM, material science, methanol synthesis, hydrogen production, and safety principles. The Executive Vice Chairman of NASENI emphasized the importance of this training in equipping staff to effectively manage renewable energy plants. Participants were selected from different NASENI institutes to ensure comprehensive knowledge sharing. The program, facilitated by experts from SRH Berlin, aims to empower staff with advanced skills.
