Total, a major energy company, has announced its acquisition of a 20% stake in Hysetco, a French company dedicated to advancing hydrogen mobility in urban areas. Hysetco operates the largest fleet of hydrogen taxis globally under the Hype brand in Paris, using hydrogen-fueled vehicles and stations. The project aims to showcase the viability of zero-emission hydrogen vehicles for urban mobility. Total's investment will support the transition of Hysetco's fleet of 700 taxis in Paris to become exclusively hydrogen-powered by 2024, with the assistance of Total's service-station network for hydrogen fueling.
