Peru, known for producing 8 critical minerals essential for energy transition, emphasized its commitment to green hydrogen promotion through a regulatory framework and strategic location. With over 25,000 megawatts in renewable energy projects and a focus on photovoltaic and wind energy ventures in multiple regions, Peru aims to position itself as an appealing destination for investors in the mining-energy sector. Minister Mucho highlighted the National Strategy for Green Hydrogen, established during President Dina Boluarte's term, supported by the Green Hydrogen-promoting Law to attract investments in hydrogen for various economic activities. The workshop serves as a platform to discuss hydrogen development in manufacturing processes, cement, and steel industries.
