ADNOC has made a significant strategic investment by acquiring a 35% equity stake in ExxonMobil's proposed low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia production facility in Baytown, Texas. This partnership aims to accelerate the decarbonization of hard-to-abate sectors by converting U.S.-produced natural gas into virtually carbon-free hydrogen, with around 98% of carbon dioxide removed through advanced technologies. The facility, projected to be the world's largest upon startup, plans to produce 1 billion cubic feet of low-carbon hydrogen daily and over 1 million tons of low-carbon ammonia per year.
