Windcat, a leading offshore personnel transfer company in Europe, has partnered with Anglo-Eastern and Damen Shipyards to order six Elevation Series CSOVs powered by hydrogen. These vessels, to be managed by Anglo-Eastern, will stay in offshore wind farms for up to 30 days, accommodating up to 90 technicians with hotel-style facilities. The partnership between Windcat and Anglo-Eastern signifies a significant development in expanding technical consulting and fleet management capabilities in the offshore renewable energy sector. The CSOVs, equipped with dual-fuel hydrogen engines, aim to reduce emissions and pave the way for a sustainable future in the maritime industry. The vessels will be constructed in Vietnam and operational by Windcat, with the first vessel scheduled for delivery in 2025.
