The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) recently hosted a delegation from the Dominican Republic, led by Rafael Orlando Gómez Del Giudice. The visit aimed to showcase DEWA's key sustainability, clean energy projects, and renewable energy initiatives while also providing an opportunity to learn from DEWA's experiences as a leading utility company. DEWA has garnered global recognition for its outstanding performance, ranking top in over 10 key performance indicators in the energy and water sectors. The delegation visited the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, a monumental project with a planned capacity of over 5,000MW by 2030. They also explored DEWA's innovative Green Hydrogen Project, a pioneering initiative in the region that produces hydrogen using solar power. Furthermore, the delegation toured DEWA's Innovation Centre, a hub for clean energy innovation, where they interacted with over 30 exhibits showcasing advancements in renewable energy. The Innovation Centre was praised for its contribution to fostering innovation in clean and renewable energy fields. The visit highlights DEWA's commitment to sharing knowledge globally, supporting sustainability, and driving the transition to a green economy.
