The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) has embarked on a pilot project in collaboration with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Group to explore the integration of hydrogen co-firing technology. This initiative aims to achieve a hydrogen co-firing ratio of 20% by utilizing MHI's Gas Turbine Combined Cycle (GTCC) equipment. The partnership builds upon a previous comprehensive agreement made in 2022, which outlined plans for a feasibility study on advanced hydrogen co-firing technology. MHI Group, renowned for its expertise in various sectors including energy, smart infrastructure, and industrial machinery, is focused on driving innovations that contribute to a carbon-neutral world and enhance global sustainability.
