CINEA is launching a new call for proposals for key cross-border EU energy infrastructure projects under the revised TEN-E Regulation. The call provides €600 million from the EU budget to co-finance studies and works for both PCIs and PMIs. Projects in electricity, smart grids, CO2 networks, hydrogen, electrolysers, and offshore can apply for funding until 16 September 2025. A virtual info day scheduled for 22 May 2025 will explain the policy context and application process for interested projects. PCIs and PMIs play a crucial role in completing the European internal energy market and supporting the EU's energy and climate objectives. Projects selected as PCIs and PMIs can benefit from advantages like accelerated permit granting and improved regulatory treatment. The CEF Energy programme, with a grant budget of €5.84 billion for 2021-2027, offers financial support for projects on the list. This initiative aims to deliver affordable, secure, and sustainable energy while working towards a climate-neutral economy by 2050.
