Federal Economics Minister Robert Habeck is set to commence a comprehensive tour of northern Germany, covering Lower Saxony, Bremen, Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, and Berlin, to examine the implementation of renewable energies in the building sector. The Ministry of Economic Affairs highlighted that the purpose of the tour is to underline the existing infrastructure supporting the extensive utilization of renewable energy systems. Preceding the tour, Habeck will participate in the inauguration of two energy facilities in Lingen, Lower Saxony. One facility, established by grid operator Amprion, will function as a new substation to counterbalance fluctuations within the electricity grid. Additionally, RWE's test plant in Lingen is designed to generate environmentally friendly hydrogen. Moreover, Habeck plans to visit a heat pump manufacturer in Holzminden during the tour, underscoring the significance of sustainable energy technologies in the region's energy landscape.
