Reliance Industries has taken significant strides in the renewable energy sector with the commissioning of a gigawatt-scale solar module manufacturing facility in Gujarat. The facility, with an initial production capacity of 10 GW per year and expandable up to 20 GW, focuses on producing 720 Wp heterojunction technology (HJT) modules. V. Srikanth, CFO of Reliance Industries, highlighted the facility's full integration across the production chain, ensuring efficiency and modularity. The company's expansion plans extend to a 30 GW battery manufacturing facility and solar power generation in Gujarat's Kutch region. Notably, Reliance is delving into green hydrogen production, earmarking 2,000 acres in Kandla for a green hydrogen ecosystem. The collaboration with Nel ASA to establish electrolyzer manufacturing facilities showcases Reliance's commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
