The H2med promoters initiated a Call for Interest to link hydrogen networks from the Iberian Peninsula to North-Western Europe. Spain and Portugal foresee substantial hydrogen export potential, while France anticipates increased consumption by 2050. Germany expects significant hydrogen consumption by 2040, with the H2med corridor playing a vital role. The H2med Alliance aims to sustain support for the initiative. Challenges include aligning market package transposition timelines and fostering industrial commitments. Enagás and NaTran are key players committed to energy transition and carbon neutrality, contributing to the development of hydrogen infrastructure.
