H2SITE has closed a successful Series B funding round, securing EUR36 million from a consortium of strategic and financial investors. Co-led by Hy24 and SC Net Zero Ventures, the investment includes participation from Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Enagas Emprende, Equinor Ventures, Exergon, Ezten, and MassMutal Ventures. This funding will enable H2SITE to advance its hydrogen technology, with a focus on scaling up to multi-ton per day reactors by 2026. H2SITE's innovative solution tackles the challenges of hydrogen transportation, making the technology more accessible and cost-effective. The company has been developing a unique membrane reactor technology since 2021, facilitating hydrogen separation from gas streams and transportable molecules like ammonia and methanol. With 15 projects already operational in Western Europe, H2SITE is expanding its infrastructure projects globally, targeting North America, the EU, and Asia Pacific. The Series B funding will support H2SITE in achieving industrial decarbonization goals, including multiple hydrogen production capacities and applications in end-use markets such as ammonia cracking, natural hydrogen production, and maritime decarbonization. The investment consortium will provide H2SITE with a strong international network to drive the company's vision of hydrogen as a key energy vector for industrial decarbonization.
