KBR has secured an advisory consulting contract from Kuwait Oil Company to assist in developing a comprehensive masterplan for the production of 17GW of renewables and 25GW of green hydrogen by 2050 in Kuwait. The contract entails KBR providing strategic guidance on incorporating wind and solar power generation with storage capabilities to support the production of green hydrogen for both local industrial use and potential export. Over the next 18 months, KBR will conduct market analysis, techno-commercial feasibility studies, and training programs for Kuwaiti nationals to ensure the successful implementation of the plan.
