A groundbreaking solar and battery project near Port Pirie in South Australia, the Bungama project owned by Amp Energy, is set to play a crucial role in helping the state meet its 100% net renewables target by 2027. The project, featuring a 339 MW solar farm and a 250 MW, 500 MWh big battery storage system, has secured a unique financing package with non-recourse senior debt finance provided by CBA, Westpac, and Export Development Canada. Additionally, capital from Amp Energy backer Carlyle will support the project's development.
