Enagás and Gasunie have formalized an agreement to collaborate on projects related to sustainable CO2 management, green hydrogen, and green ammonia logistics. The CEOs of both companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Groningen, Netherlands, to develop integrated logistics chains between Spain and the Netherlands. This collaboration aims to advance European decarbonization goals by conducting feasibility studies for projects such as transporting CO2 from Spain to the Netherlands and exporting decarbonized molecules like green hydrogen and green ammonia. The agreement also includes the identification of potential offtakers in industrial sectors and the development of a specific action plan for the coming months with regular meetings between the parties. Enagás, with its strong presence in energy infrastructures across multiple countries, is committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2040 and focusing on renewable gases, sustainable mobility, and energy efficiency. Gasunie, on the other hand, is a key player in European energy infrastructure, providing gas transport services and supporting the transition to a CO2 neutral energy supply through innovations in renewable gases. Both companies aim to contribute significantly to the energy transition and sustainability efforts in Europe.
