Poland has initiated a call for applications for the construction of Renewable Fuel of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO) hydrogen and low-emission hydrogen production facilities. The National Recovery and Resilience Plan allocates PLN 2,823 416,000.00 to support projects with a total production capacity of at least 315 MW. The support will take the form of subsidies, focusing on investments in hydrogen technologies like production, storage, and transport. Projects eligible for support must ensure a five-year sustainability period and contribute to Poland's hydrogen targets for industry and transport. The maximum support for a project is capped at EUR 320 million, with a subsidy value of less than approximately EUR 2 million per 1 MW capacity. The construction of these facilities aims to reduce fossil raw material usage, replace carbon-intensive energy sources, and substitute conventional fuels in transport. KPMG services are available to provide further information and support for interested applicants.
