Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine LLC (GTSOU) and key organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the Ukraine-EU Hydrogen Corridor. The initiative focuses on developing renewable energy and hydrogen production in Ukraine for transportation to European countries after 2030. The project involves repurposing the existing pipeline network for hydrogen transportation, with emphasis on joint infrastructure investment and regulatory alignment. Supported by various organizations and ministries, including Ukraine's Economy Ministry and Energy Ministry, the long-term project aims to promote sustainable energy and regional cooperation. The collaboration was initiated by the Ukraine Green Industrial Recovery Platform, with the goal of driving progress on necessary projects and infrastructure. This initiative builds on a Memorandum of Strategic Partnership signed in February 2023 between Ukraine and the EU in the fields of biomethane, hydrogen, and synthetic gases.
