Purem by Eberspaecher has teamed up with the PoWer project to support the development of hydrogen engines for construction and agricultural applications. The consortium, which includes automotive supplier MAHLE, aims to ensure that hydrogen engines meet the necessary emission legislation for non-road mobile machinery. Purem will bring its expertise in exhaust technology and materials science to the project. Avinash Mutharja, the Executive Vice-President of Technology & Innovation at Purem, expressed optimism about the potential of hydrogen engines in heavy-duty applications. The UK government recently approved the use of hydrogen-powered vehicles such as tractors and forklifts on roads, marking a step forward in integrating hydrogen technology. Purem's involvement in the project demonstrates their commitment to advancing hydrogen research and development.
