Wood, with approximately 900 employees in Norway, has offices across several cities including Bergen, Stavanger, and Oslo. Melsom highlighted the hidden potential of Wood's Norwegian operations and the complexity of projects they are involved in, emphasizing recruitment as a key focus. The company is actively involved in energy security, decarbonisation, and extending the life of offshore and onshore assets, working with clients like Gassco and Equinor. Wood's Norwegian operations are also engaged in energy transition projects such as offshore wind, biofuels, hydrogen, and carbon capture and storage, with clients like Yara and Ineos. Melsom aims to attract technical personnel for both local and international projects, focusing on developing skills across the energy sector.
