The European electricity and gas markets are undergoing significant reforms to integrate sectors and address decarbonization goals. The DSO Entity, mandated for electricity DSO representation, is expanding its role to include gas and hydrogen DSOs. Task forces have been established to work on integrating gas DSOs, aiming to launch this integration by the end of 2025. Concurrently, the European Network of Network Operators for Hydrogen (ENNOH) is being formed to promote the hydrogen market's development and enable cross-border trade. Led by Pieter van Aartsen, ENNOH will focus on developing network codes, technical recommendations, and network development plans, aligning closely with ENTSO-E and ENTSOG. The ENNOH foundational process is set to be completed by mid-2025, emphasizing system efficiency and energy integration across the European energy landscape.
