During the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) in Baku, Azerbaijan, PT PLN (Persero) solidified five strategic partnerships to propel Indonesia's energy transition towards sustainability. These partnerships, focusing on funding, technology, and human resource development, aim to accelerate the development of clean energy infrastructure in Indonesia. The collaborations, formalized through MoUs and Grant Agreements, involve entities such as United Kingdom Export Finance (UKEF), Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW), Sembcorp Utilities Pte Ltd, Transportasi Gas Indonesia (TGI), and the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP). Indonesia's commitment to combating climate change was reiterated by Hashim Djojohadikusumo, highlighting President Prabowo Subianto's leadership in this endeavor. The new energy transition strategy targets adding 75 gigawatts from renewable energy sources over the next 15 years, aligning with the vision of clean, affordable energy.
