Hyundai Motor India Limited has announced the groundbreaking ceremony for its hydrogen innovation centre at the Tamil Nadu Investors Conclave 2024 in Chennai. This pioneering initiative is being developed in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) and Guidance Tamil Nadu, with the support of the State Government of Tamil Nadu. The hydrogen innovation centre aims to drive innovation in the field of hydrogen technology and serve as a catalyst for advancements in this sector. The virtual ground-breaking ceremony was attended by key dignitaries including Thiru M. K. Stalin, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, and Dr. T R B Rajaa, Minister for Industries, among others. The facility, to be constructed at the IIT Madras Thaiyur campus, will span 65,000 sq. ft. and focus on developing breakthrough innovations in hydrogen mobility.
