The project, previously initiated by Aker Horizons, will capitalize on a long-term power purchase agreement with Tinn Energi to secure a steady supply of renewable energy for hydrogen production. Norwegian Hydrogen plans to establish a 25 MW electrolyzer plant at the site, marking one of the largest green hydrogen ventures in the Nordics. By partnering with Nel for a pressurized alkaline electrolysis plant, the company aims to enhance the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of hydrogen production utilizing technology supported by the EU Innovation Fund.
