Boomtown, a UK music festival set to occur in Hampshire on August 6-10, 2025, will showcase a unique HYDRO stage powered entirely by hydrogen fuel cells. With an expected attendance of over 65,000 people, the festival has teamed up with Hydrologiq to bring this sustainable initiative to life. Hydrologiq's HydrologiqOS platform will manage the installation, fuel monitoring, and operational aspects of the clean-powered stage. Luke Mitchell, the festival's co-founder and creative director, expressed his delight at the launch of the hydrogen-powered stage, highlighting the importance of innovative solutions in driving towards a Net Zero future. This move builds on the success of a 2022 deployment where a 100kVa EODev fuel cell generator powered Boomtown's public transport hub.
