Doosan Fuel Cell and Samchully have entered into a partnership to drive the advancement of domestically produced mid- and low-temperature solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) for power generation. Samchully, known for its operations in city gas and power businesses, will play a key role in securing project sites and overseeing business development in various regions. On the other hand, Doosan Fuel Cell will be responsible for promoting and supplying SOFCs for power generation, investing in pilot projects, and managing hydrogen fuel cell power plant operations. The new mid- and low-temperature SOFCs developed by Doosan Fuel Cell are set to be commercialized in the second half of the year, offering high power efficiency and a longer lifespan due to operating at temperatures significantly lower than existing models. Doosan Fuel Cell has already established a 50MW mass production system at its Gunsan plant and is working towards launching commercialization within the year. The collaboration with Samchully is aimed at enhancing Doosan's ability to secure orders in the hydrogen procurement market by leveraging Samchully's expertise in power plant development. This partnership seeks to strengthen Doosan's competitiveness by expanding its product lineup and forming stronger relationships with power producers.
