Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers have recently announced collaborations with two entities to work on futuristic technologies. The first collaboration is with M/s Merlinhawk Aerospace with a focus on developing composite doors and hatches, counter UAV solutions, surveillance systems, composite masts, and hydrogen fuel cells for maritime applications. This partnership aims to enhance the technological capabilities in the naval shipbuilding sector. The second collaboration is with M/s Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation (KELTRON) to work on core futuristic technologies for underwater surveillance. The goal of this partnership is to achieve self-reliance in specific areas of underwater surveillance. These non-binding MoUs signify a step towards fostering innovation and self-sufficiency in defense and maritime applications, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in developing advanced technologies.
