A delegation from the National Energy Administration (NEA) visited The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) in Hong Kong to explore the company's facilities and advancements in hydrogen energy. The visit included tours of the Tai Po Gas Production Plant and North Point Headquarters, where discussions revolved around enhancing energy security, promoting green low-carbon energy, and supporting national energy development. The delegation, led by Mr. Bian Guangqi from NEA, was welcomed by Towngas senior management, including Mr. Martin Kee Wai-ngai and Mr. Don Cheng Hill-kwong. The delegation witnessed Towngas' hydrogen extraction facility that generates electricity from hydrogen fuel cells sourced from existing gas pipelines. Additionally, they observed a modular hydrogen power generation system trial project in Sai Kung, emphasizing Towngas's commitment to sustainable energy solutions. Towngas also highlighted its focus on smart energy and carbon neutrality, aligning with Hong Kong's and the country's carbon reduction goals. The visit concluded with discussions on deepening cooperation in energy and green development, with both parties looking to strengthen communication and collaboration.
