Hygreen Energy, a leading electrolyzer manufacturer and hydrogen technology developer, has successfully delivered a 25-Megawatt electrolyzer system to Huadian Weifang Power Generation Co., Ltd. in Weifang, China. This milestone marks a significant advancement in the adoption of electrolyzers for large-scale hydrogen production projects. The system, designed to produce 3.6 tons of hydrogen per day with high purity levels, includes advanced storage and distribution solutions. The project, integrated into Huadian Weifang's power plant, aims to reduce renewable energy wastage, improve grid resilience, and promote cost-effective hydrogen utilization in the Shandong region. The hydrogen produced will support a refueling station on-site and will be mixed with natural gas for use by enterprises and residents via pipelines. Scheduled for completion in Q1 of 2025, this initiative is the first large-scale hydrogen storage demonstration under China's 'Hydrogen Into Ten Thousand Homes' program. Benny Wang, Hygreen Energy's CEO, emphasized the importance of this project in driving the transition to renewable energy and implementing larger electrolyzer systems. The successful delivery signifies the role of electrolyzers in advancing hydrogen projects and demonstrates Hygreen Energy's technology for global applications. With ongoing expansion in the hydrogen sector, Hygreen Energy is set to supply a 40-megawatt electrolyzer system for another significant project in China.
