Fores Engineering, a subsidiary of the Rosetti Marino Group, has secured a contract from CrossWind to assemble a 2.5 MW Offshore Electrolyser Package for the Hollandse Kust Noord offshore wind farm. The electrolyser will be accompanied by Balance of Plant components including a water treatment plant, hydrogen purification system, and control systems, with Elogen providing the electrolyser process design and stack supply. The installation is planned on the Base Load Power Hub (BLPH) platform in 2024 at the Rosetti Marino yard in Italy, before being transported offshore for installation in the North Sea by mid-2025. The project aims to produce green hydrogen offshore to improve renewable energy stability and combat the intermittency challenges of wind and solar power.
