INOX Air Products, India's largest gas manufacturer, has inaugurated its inaugural green hydrogen manufacturing plant at Asahi India Glass Limited's site in Soniyana, Rajasthan. The plant, fueled by solar power, is capable of generating 190 tons of green hydrogen yearly via electrolysis. This milestone marks the debut of green hydrogen utilization in float glass manufacturing in India, promoting eco-friendly glass production. INOX is managing design, engineering, operations, and green hydrogen supply to AIS under a 20-year commitment. Initially, 95 tons of green hydrogen will be provided annually. AIS has invested in a solar power plant to support renewable energy for hydrogen production, aligning with its sustainability goals.
