Nikola Corporation and AiLO Logistics recently announced a significant step towards decarbonizing the trucking industry by revealing an order for 100 hydrogen fuel cell electric trucks. The milestone was unveiled at the 2024 Advanced Clean Transportation Expo, demonstrating a joint commitment to sustainable transportation solutions. AiLO, known for its operations at the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, placed the order with Tom's Truck Centers, a member of the Nikola sales and service network. Deliveries of the hydrogen FCEVs are expected in 2025. AiLO's CEO, Jack Khudikyan, emphasized the company's dedication to innovation and sustainability in logistics. The order for 100 trucks is part of AiLO's strategy to advance sustainable port drayage services, aligning with their Green Supply Chain Goals (GSG) to achieve zero emissions. Their Class 8 vehicles and HYLA energy infrastructure are designed to support a complete hydrogen refueling ecosystem. AiLO's previous purchase of 50 Nikola FCEVs has already started deliveries, with the two companies showcasing their commitment to customer satisfaction and industry innovation.
