Australian company AMSL Aero has joined forces with The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) in the Philippines to embark on a new venture in the zero-emissions aircraft and hydrogen production industry. This partnership aims to establish a sustainable aviation ecosystem by leveraging AMSL Aero's innovative Vertiia technology and BCDA's infrastructure. The collaboration seeks to connect the Philippines archipelago through zero-emissions air bridges and strategically located hydrogen production plants, paving the way for a feasibility study encompassing technical and commercial aspects. The Vertiia aircraft, a hydrogen-electric VTOL, boasts long-range capabilities of up to 1,000km and cruising speeds of 300kmh. The partnership signifies a global demand for hydrogen-powered VTOL technology, marking a significant step towards cleaner and more efficient air travel.
