A Vancouver-based aviation consortium, Canadian Advanced Air Mobility, is celebrating a monumental achievement - the first ever piloted hydrogen-powered helicopter flight in Canada. The experimental flight, led by Unither Bioélectronique and pilot Ric Webb under an experimental flight permit from Transport Canada, showcased the helicopter relying on hydrogen fuel cells for 90% of its energy during the test at Bromont airport in Quebec. The success was met with jubilation from the crew as the helicopter hovered for over three minutes.
