NEXTCHEM (MAIRE) has been awarded a licensing contract for its NX Circular gasification technology to be used in DG Fuels' Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) plant in Louisiana, United States. The plant is expected to be operational by 2028 and will have the capacity to produce up to 450 million liters of SAF annually, making it one of the largest initiatives globally. This project is in line with the U.S. Department of Energy's Clean Fuels & Products Shot initiative and the CORSIA scheme, targeting decarbonization in the aviation sector. The SAF will be derived from residual biomass and a small portion of municipal waste. The contract includes the supply of gasification and gas treatment units to process biomass and waste, setting the stage for SAF production. This initiative signifies NEXTCHEM's commitment to driving industry decarbonization through innovative circular solutions. The licensing contract also emphasizes the company's dedication to pushing technological boundaries in the renewable energy sector, showcasing the reliability of their technologies.
