Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Andhra Pradesh and Odisha on a two-day trip from January 8-9. During this visit, he will dedicate, inaugurate, and lay the foundation stone for projects worth over Rs 2 lakh crore, with a focus on sustainable development, industrial growth, and infrastructure enhancement. One of the key highlights is the foundation stone laying for the NTPC Green Energy Ltd's Green Hydrogen Hub Project in Pudimadaka, Andhra Pradesh. This project, with an investment of approximately Rs 1.85 lakh crore, aims to establish a 20 GW renewable energy capacity and produce Green Hydrogen, Green Methanol, Green Urea, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel. It is part of the National Green Hydrogen Mission to boost India's renewable energy capacity to 500 GW by 2030. Additionally, various railway and road projects worth Rs 19,500 crore will be dedicated, including the South Coast Railway Headquarters in Visakhapatnam, to improve connectivity and stimulate economic growth. The visit will also include the inauguration of the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention in Bhubaneswar, showcasing the diaspora's contribution to India under the theme 'Diaspora's Contribution to a Viksit Bharat.' The convention aims to engage with over 50 countries and provide a platform for collaboration with the Indian diaspora. Prime Minister Modi will remotely flag off the Pravasi Bharatiya Express, a special tourist train for the Indian diaspora, as part of the event, which will run from January 8-10.
