Offshore personnel transfer company Windcat, a part of CMB.TECH, has joined forces with Anglo-Eastern for the technical and crewing management of six hydrogen-powered Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs). These vessels, part of the Elevation Series, will be constructed by Damen Shipyards and operated by Windcat. The partnership builds on Windcat's previous collaboration with Anglo-Eastern Technical Services (AETS), which oversaw the construction of the CSOVs initiated in October 2021. The vessels, powered by dual-fuel hydrogen engines, are a pioneering step towards decarbonizing the shipping industry. Anglo-Eastern's CEO, Bjorn Hojgaard, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to this sustainable initiative, emphasizing the importance of clean energy technology in maritime operations. Windcat's Managing Director, Willem Van Der Wel, highlighted the significance of partnering with Anglo-Eastern to advance the offshore industry's standards.
