Fabrum, a New Zealand company, has teamed up with King Watercraft to create the H2Ocean, a zero-emission hydrogen-powered boat. This collaboration combines Fabrum's expertise in design with King Watercraft's experience in producing sophisticated rigid inflatable boats. The H2Ocean boat, set to undergo sea trials in January 2025, offers a sustainable solution for various marine activities including tourism, commercial operations, and leisure pursuits. It is designed to be versatile, allowing customization to suit different user needs. The boat's propulsion system includes a fuel cell powered by 18kg of 350 bar hydrogen gas, which in turn charges a battery bank to operate the electric stern legs.
