The Energy Observer, a groundbreaking zero-emission hydrogen ship, has successfully concluded its 7-year voyage around the globe by docking in Paris. Launched from Paris in 2017, this innovative vessel is powered by a combination of renewable energies and hydrogen, aiming to revolutionize clean maritime travel. Acting as a floating laboratory, it harnesses wind, solar power, and seawater electrolysis to operate. Over the years, the ship covered an impressive 68,000 nautical miles, making its way through 50 countries and stopping at 101 locations to exhibit sustainable technologies in diverse conditions. Through the creation of 13 documentary films and over 500 videos, Energy Observer effectively communicated its message to millions worldwide, fostering awareness about clean energy solutions. Looking ahead, Energy Observer is embarking on the next phase by planning the development of Energy Observer 3, a new vessel that will focus on testing synthetic fuels and advanced technologies.
