Air Products has revealed its ambitious plan to establish a series of commercial-scale hydrogen refueling stations in California, covering a vast geographic stretch from Northern to Southern regions. The announcement was made by Eric Guter, the Vice President of Hydrogen for Mobility at Air Products, during the California Hydrogen Convention held at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The strategically located stations will cater to heavy-duty vehicles like trucks and buses, as well as light-duty hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. With each station capable of refueling up to 200 heavy-duty trucks or 2,000 light-duty vehicles daily, the initiative signifies a major advancement in fueling technology and capacity. Air Products, recognizing California's pioneering role in energy transition and zero-emission transportation, aims to contribute significantly to the state's efforts by investing in clean energy projects. This network expansion is part of Air Products' larger commitment of $15 billion by 2027 towards clean energy megaprojects worldwide.
