Information Trends, a market research firm based in Sterling, VA, has recently unveiled a detailed database showcasing the global deployment of hydrogen fueling stations. By the end of 2024, close to 1,400 hydrogen stations were operational worldwide, setting the stage for the hydrogen economy. The database, curated by lead analyst Anoshia Wajid, offers a comprehensive list of these stations, emphasizing their pivotal role in fostering the adoption of hydrogen fuel cell buses, trucks, and light-duty vehicles. The database covers over 50 countries, with notable concentrations in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in China, Japan, and Korea. In Europe, Germany and France lead in hydrogen station deployments, with Germany boasting more than a hundred stations. Despite lagging behind, the Americas, spearheaded by the United States, are making significant strides with nearly a hundred hydrogen stations. This global trend signifies a growing momentum towards establishing robust hydrogen infrastructure to support the transition to cleaner energy sources.
