Key Ideas
- Two ME450 Electrolyzers supplied for a regional mobility project in Cologne, Germany.
- Hydrogen filling station to produce and store green hydrogen for fueling vehicles.
- Collaboration between Quest One and Ingenion aims to advance green mobility and decarbonize public transport.
- Ingenion awarded contract for the construction and commissioning of the hydrogen filling station in December 2024.
Quest One has provided Ingenion with two ME450 Electrolyzers for a regional mobility project in Cologne, Germany. The project involves the construction of a hydrogen filling station in Mechernich Peternheide, with plans to start operations by the end of 2026. The station will utilize the electrolyzers to produce 450 kilograms of high-purity hydrogen daily from renewable sources, supporting the fueling of hydrogen buses and other fuel cell vehicles. RVK, already operating Europe's largest hydrogen bus fleet, is expanding to achieve zero emissions by 2030. Ingenion and Quest One's partnership focuses on decarbonizing public transport and promoting green mobility. The collaboration aims to contribute to climate protection and sustainable energy supply in the region. Ingenion, specializing in sustainability projects, won the contract for the hydrogen station's development in 2024. The project aligns with the companies' shared commitment to innovation, decarbonization, and infrastructure development in the field of hydrogen and electromobility.
