Solaris Bus & Coach has successfully delivered the first 37 hydrogen buses to TPER, the Italian transport operator. These buses are set to operate in Bologna and Ferrara and mark the initial phase of a substantial order placed at the end of 2023. The larger order of 137 hydrogen buses signifies a strategic partnership between Solaris, city authorities, and TPER to advance sustainable public transport. The funding for these environmentally friendly buses is co-financed by EU funds from the PNRR, emphasizing a commitment to green initiatives. Solaris' Urbino 12 hydrogen vehicles boast a fully-low floor design, air conditioning systems, and enhanced accessibility for passengers with strollers and wheelchairs.
