The Chinese company CRRC recently delivered a state-of-the-art six-car ETS3 electric train to Malaysia, with the first train handed over to the Ministry of Transport. Equipped with advanced technologies and a gauge of 1000 mm, the train can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h and accommodate 312 passengers, including 36 business-class seats. Notably, the train features a 640 Ah battery pack to support vital systems during power outages. The collaboration between CRRC and Malaysia also involves the assembly of additional trains in Malaysia, with the final delivery scheduled for August 2025.
