Hyundai Motor India Ltd. is collaborating with the State government-backed investment promotion agency Guidance Tamil Nadu and Indian Institute of Technology, Madras to establish a dedicated Hydrogen Innovation Centre in Chennai. The centre, to be set up at the Thaiyur campus of IIT Madras with an investment of Rs 180 crore, will focus on research in hydrogen technology. This partnership, initiated during the Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave, aims to accelerate the development and adoption of the hydrogen ecosystem in India.
