The Hydrogen Insights 2024 report, co-authored by McKinsey & Company, reveals a seven-fold increase in projects reaching final investment decision (FID) since 2020, with committed investments soaring to USD 75 billion across 434 projects in 2024. There has been a shift from project planning to implementation, with significant growth in investments past FID and front-end engineering design (FEED) stage projects.
