Oracle Power PLC has announced the renewal of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Electric Power and Technology Co., Ltd (CET) to further develop the Green Hydrogen Project in Thatta, Sindh Province, Pakistan. The MoU, originally signed in March 2023, has been extended until March 2027. This project, a joint venture with Oracle Energy Limited, aims to produce green hydrogen through a combination of 800MW solar power, 500MW wind power, and battery storage. The partnership with CET, a major utility company and a subsidiary of the State Grid Corporation of China, is crucial for the project's financing, construction, operation, and maintenance. The Green Hydrogen Production facility is projected to be one of the largest in Asia, producing 150,000kg of hydrogen per day once operational. CEO Naheed Memon expressed gratitude for CET's support and highlighted the progress made in technical and financial studies. The focus now shifts to securing off-take arrangements and finalizing financial aspects. This partnership signifies a significant step towards Oracle Energy's vision of becoming a global leader in green hydrogen production.
