Höegh Evi, a prominent player in marine energy infrastructure, has recently partnered with the Port of Port-La Nouvelle to establish a floating hydrogen import terminal. This endeavor aims to facilitate the import of hydrogen from producers in regions like the Middle East, North Africa, and the Americas, with the terminal expected to commence operations in 2030. Once operational, the terminal will have a significant capacity, capable of importing up to 210,000 tonnes of hydrogen on an annual basis. This collaboration between Höegh Evi and the Port of Port-La Nouvelle is poised to contribute to Europe's clean energy transition by serving as a crucial gateway for importing hydrogen from diverse international sources.
