Hygreen Energy, a leading global electrolyzer manufacturer and hydrogen technology developer, has unveiled its ambitious expansion plans in Europe with a focus on Spain. The company's new initiatives include establishing a state-of-the-art electrolyzer manufacturing facility in Malaga to produce 5-Megawatt electrolyzers initially, with plans to scale up to 5 GW based on market demand. Alongside manufacturing, Hygreen Energy will launch an R&D program to enhance electrolyzer technologies, including testing an alkaline 10-Megawatt platform to meet European standards. Further, the company aims to set up green hydrogen production plants in Huelva, Andalusia, in collaboration with strategic partners to reach a capacity of 1.12 GW, injecting over €2 billion into the region and fostering the hydrogen economy. These strategic moves align with Spain's objective of achieving 11 GW of electrolyzer capacity by 2030, with Andalusia's renewable energy potential positioning it as a key player. Hygreen Energy's CEO, Benny Wang, highlighted that these expansions will enable the company to capitalize on the thriving European hydrogen market by offering customized electrolyzer solutions.
