Opel/Vauxhall is set to introduce the Movano Hydrogen at the IAA Transportation 2024 event in Hannover. The upcoming vehicle will feature fuel cell drive technology tailored for commercial applications, promising both performance and practicality. Building on the success of the Vivaro Hydrogen used by fleets in Europe, the Movano Hydrogen offers a range of around 500km on a single charge and swift refueling in under five minutes. Its electric motor delivers 150hp and 410Nm of torque, supported by an 11kWh lithium-ion battery for optimal fuel cell system operation. The hybrid system allows for regenerative braking, enhancing efficiency and performance. Despite its cutting-edge technology, the Movano Hydrogen maintains spacious cargo capacity of up to 17m3 and a payload of 1,370kg. The Opel/Vauxhall lineup at the event also includes the updated Combo Electric, featuring a refreshed design and an extended range of 219 miles, as well as the compact Opel Rocks Electric quadricycle with a Kargo kit for versatile loading options. The event, running from September 16 to 22, will showcase these innovative electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles designed for the evolving needs of the commercial sector.
