Provaris Energy Ltd, in partnership with Uniper and Norwegian Hydrogen, has taken a significant step in advancing Europe's green hydrogen infrastructure by signing a term sheet for the supply, transport, and offtake of RFNBO-certified green hydrogen to Europe. This collaboration aims to establish regional bulk-scale hydrogen supply chains in Europe by utilizing Provaris' innovative H2Neo compressed hydrogen carriers. The agreement targets the delivery of 42,500 tonnes per year of green hydrogen to Europe from Nordic sites, with Uniper purchasing the hydrogen at a fixed price. The collaboration, set to commence deliveries in early 2029, focuses on developing an efficient and cost-effective supply chain for green hydrogen, potentially enhancing renewable energy availability for hydrogen production in Europe. The partnership's ultimate goal is to lower the delivered cost of hydrogen and minimize energy losses across the supply chain. The term sheet signed represents a key milestone towards negotiating a binding hydrogen sale and purchase agreement by June 2025, signaling a significant advancement in Europe's first regional green hydrogen marine transport project.
